Welcome
Welcome to the web site for James Doherty – one of the UK’s most exciting and promising talents in the world of Karting. In 2006 - his first year at national championship level; James achieved a fantastic 5th place in Minimax and following a move in 2007 to the even more competitive world of Junior Max, finished 15th to earn a coveted seeded number for 2008 and all this despite completely missing one round, finishing in only 3 out of 6 finals and suffering a broken wrist mid-season!
As a member of the successful England Junior team in 2006 and 2007, James has demonstrated an amazing level of consistency and was 2nd after R1 of the European Championship in France – only bettered by the eventual champion. But with no thanks to the wrist injury sustained in Germany in R2, James decided to focus on the UK championship on which his sights are firmly set for more success and the top spot in 2008.
James' chances have been given a massive boost by signing for the Protrain Team - the 2007 UK Junior Champions and 2006 European Champions managed by Gary Chapman. Both James and Gary see this as a great partnership and are confident of further success in 2008.
This site contains information about James on and off the track. We hope you enjoy it and please feel free to get in touch via the online comment section.
